When i play my pro scratch 2 player for a while (2 hours) or more, i start hearing a distortion noise. I don't know if overheating is causing the problem? my other PS2 deck is also very hot but it plays fine. Will putting a small fan on it help? i have the deck around 2 years already. I'm scared of doing a gig with the deck, what should i do? HELP???

There were some PS2's that experienced a distortion problem caused by heat. You can do 3 things.....
1) make sure if the CD players are in a case, that it has plenty of ventilation in the back, and underneath.
2) Use a fan behind the unit to push cool air towards the unit or to draw heat off the unit.
3) Call tech support or a certified service center to have them attach a heat sink to the power supply.
