That new Velocity looks verrrryyy interesting.

Two things:
Can you scratch the sample while the main track plays?
Does it display CD-Text for regular (non-MP3) CDs?

Two questions...
Cool Is there a new 4 channel mixer on the way for these?
Cool When do the new cd players hit the stores?

You bought it almost 4 months ago which is the same time I posted this announcement. Maybe your salesman knew too, and convieniently forgot to tell you to sell off his existing stock. I really feel for you, and wish we could get you a simple upgrade, but unfortunately that is not possible.

The Velocity looks pretty good except for one thing: slot loading CD's? All the other drives I've ever had that used that scratched the blazes out of the media. Tray loaded is simply the best

I'm not sure I agree with that.....but that is personal opinion. I've used the Pro Scratch 2's...slot load and CDJ 1000's and never had a problem with scratched cd's....once again my opinion. Cool

I prefer the slot load.
Trays scare me...I'm always afraid I'm going to break it off.

That Velo-MP3 looks nifty. Can you scratch the "sample" while you play a track?

Yes, you can scratch the sample on both of these. Both have slot drives. Also both units display song titles and have advance track search. Meaning you can play one song and view the other songs on the disc. Also you can put your next track in reserve and launch it anytime.

There are some of these out and they are being released in small batches.

799 MAP.... Eeker Big Grin Cool
Well done AA...now lets have one ready to play at GC this weekend!!!!

I second Bill; trays are delicate, and if the cd is put in it at an angle it could jam, and its just another object you could catch your headphone or mic cord on and damage easily.

These products are fragile. You will not get any firmware updates , because they don't maintain their products, and stevie ray is a talking head.

Trout if you don't like it here....why do you come back. You've had some problem with your gear...... understood, but don't take it out on people here. You don't know us here and if you know Stevie then you and him need to handle your business off line.

Sounds like Trout is bitter because of an mis-informed equipment purchase. Well all I can say is join the club dude, we've all been down that road at least once in our DJ careers. My advice, instead of taking your frustrations out on non-affiliated forum members, suck it up, get on eBay sell your unwanted gear then buy something else! But this time do some research before you purchase, starting at this forum where people here are more than willing to help with your purchase decisions. You just have to ask.

BTW I prefer slot load drives - no scratched CD's so far.

ROQ out.

I'm confused. Did trout just say I was one of the singers in one of the best 80's bands?

If that was a jab I don't get it. BTW. I do not work for ADJ, I don't get paid, or receive any other fringe benefits. I am just here because I like to help my fellow DJ's and I am proud to call many of the members here my friends. Yes, even Roq. Razzer
