Hello, could you guys build a mixer with midi,also clip launch button for ableton live.
Sort of a portable maven, ya know the one sasha has. No, this isn't a joke.

How much automation do you need? Motorized faders? Total recall?

My Yamaha ProMix01 is very MIDI integrated and has motorized faders. Only thing it can't recall are pre-amp settings. You should be able to score something at a good price.

Realize something new is going to start at around $1200 street pricing.

The Korg nanoKONTROL is a mixer/surface/controller. Super cheap, around $60. Works good, highly portable. Should be able to be reconfigured to do your clip launching IF this is a task Ableton Live can do via MIDI triggering.

What your asking would require a chunk but it's possible. A friend providing. does it on the side.
