Alright Guys, I had a huge teen party tonight at a local night club, and I have 2 American DJ CDI-500's. I have not yet had a problem with the one, and I have had it for almost a year, and the newer one that I purchased a few weeks ago, I bought from one of the local dealers, where my friend bought his cdi500 from, and has had problems ever since.

So what I am saying is, I bought my 2nd cdi500 from the dealer where my friend has had the problems with. So this was the first time I have had a problem with either of the players, and it was at a teen dance! My DJ friend that was djing with me, played his cd in my cdi500 and its a "Pro Media" CD-R. When he tryed to take it out of the player, after playing the song from it, he got jammed in the back of the cdi500 (behind the tray) and we had to shake the played constantly to get it out( not very easy especially infront of 700 teens). So I got the disc out and it did not get caught with any of my cds at all (some burnt to).

My friend tryed it again throughout the night with the same result with his cds, and with the same cd player (not the older 1).

My friend who has another cdi500, quickly drove home, halfway through the dance, and brought me his from home. The same problem happened with the burnt cds to his (plus it was from the same dealer I bought mine at).

Well we got through the night (thank god). And I have another teen party Monday at another club which I am going to have to find a resolution to.

What do I do? Will this eventually happen to my cds? Is it the cd player? or the Cds? I can't send it in for repairs right now because I need it for the next month because I am so booked.

I am disappointed in a way but again I do not know the cause or where to even start to fix this. Thanks alot and please help me out ADJ! I don't know what to do anymore...

I only use CDR's manufactured by MITSUI, and I use the Gold ones. I have never met any CD player that doesn't like those. I'll find the article I posted a while ago, which explains why they are the best. They are also the most expensive averaging $1.20 each blank when purchased by the 100.
