Got to play on a pair with the QD5 mixer and I was impressed. Lots of features and very light. The jog wheel was nice and easy to use. I am still having a hard time with the cd loading tray. I really like the slot loading for table tops and this is the only thing really holding me back right now. What is the general feeling on these units from people who have used them or own them?

Thanks!

Welcome Brett,
At first when the CDI's came out I had 2 major complaints. 1) The drawer instead of the slot in mechanism, 2) That they moved the play button so far back. It took me about 5 minutes of playing with the unit to get over it. The best thing about the drawers are that burned CD's with a label don't ever get stuck, or give you a hard time. Also the cost of the drawer unit is slightly less, so that with that they were able to put in a better drive. Overall I love the CDI's, I also have 2 pairs of S5000's which are nice as well, but overall I use the CDI's more, as I feel more comfortable with them.

Sounds good. I am just finishing up with pricing and then most likely going to get a CDI500/QD5/Case combo system. I'll report back my comments.

Brett, I am working on something, that I had hoped to have finished before X-mas, but probably won't now. A tips and tricks video.
