The ad for the American Audio MCD-810 MP3/CD player say it will read all MP3 formats. But mine won't play AAC (iTunes), WMA (Windows Media), or RAX (Real Audio). The drive won't recognize these file types burned onto discs. The unit does play MP3s and wavs great.
I'm confused. Does the player support any file type other than MP3 and wav? (AAC, WMA, and/or RAX) If so, what could I be overlooking? Thanks to anybody who can help. |

I think they mean "all mp3" as CBR/VBR and it's notpicky about the type of encoding like LAME or Fraunhouser or however you spell it. I was under the impression though that it could read AAC files, maybe just not the ones dowloaded from itunes as they need a special license. Try ripping a CD to AAC and try that in the player.

This unit should play all types, including i-tunes. I will double check one here and check with out techs and get back with you.
Thanks Tom |

Was there any update on whether the MCD-810 can play AAC (I-Tunes) files?
