I currently have the velocity, what I was thinking was swapping the dc pro 1000 for my mobile rig, and placing my velocity in the club I"m currently playing at, as they are using mk II 300,
The velocity don't display well in the sun,Out doors) how is the dc pro 1000 at this task?

I'll try my CDI-500 out in the sun tomorrow, or Thursday and let you know. Most CD players easily get washed out in the sun. Some more than others. But I'll test it out and get back to you.

ok I see you were busy,
nothing wrong with that I get that way myself most of the time, But for others out there whom have the velocity and used it outdoors and saw that the display was virtually useless, the dcd pro 1000 display is a champ in the daylight, it goes from a glowing blue to a digital watch like back ground on the main display, which is a great thing you can still see most of what's going on, for the bad news, you can't tell which effect you have high lighted or the color that illuminated, red or amber unless you shield the display, with your hands you should be able to make out what effect your in.

Sorry that I didn't get the test done for you. It actually wasn't from being too busy. I live in NE PA, and it hasn't stopped raining in 2 days No sun=no test.
