I am looking for an ADJ V3000 amp schematic. The amp has a prominent 60 cycle hum in the #1 channel, probably a bad cap. A schematic would help me locate it. Thanks if you can help.

Before you do that, plug in your gear all on one power strip first. Mixer, source, amp. See if the hum is still there. If so, then it's worth checking. if it's a bad cap, depending on the type, you should be able to find it rather readily if it's a dried out one.

Thanks Chris. Channel 2 works fine. The noise in channel one is the only signal that makes it through. It sounds like a square or sawtooth wave, very course.

Just to check, are you using any line filtering and/or conditioning? Run the whole thing through a UPS if you don't have anything else, as that will rebuild your input and output as a nice sine wave.
Switch your sends to the amp. Could be from the mixer as well. Could be a bad cable, but it could be the amp. -- Chris Pickett, Studio42 916-601-7089 http://www.studio42.com Anti Spam Advocate: http://www.studio42.org |
