as far as I know most pro-scratch 2's that have landed in Australia have had MAJOR power problems...
I myself have had one unit replaced and another fixed (under warranty).
The problem begins with the cdplayer cracking and popping loudly and finally the unit shorts out, all the lights on it flash... as if there were 2 loose wires being rubbed together.
has anyone else had this problem?
also I'm pretty sure I'm out of warranty, and I know for a fact that I could have not caused this problem, what a have others been offered in terms of repairs?

How old is this unit?

one year for one of the units
6 months for the other (given replacement because of same problem)
think its the year old one thats having the trouble
