Allright I have two Pro Scratch 2's and both of them have different problems.

Player a-
The screen is not working although all the functions of the cd player work. I can use it fine, just can't see what i'm doing.

Player b-
The screen is working fine but when I put the cd in, it wont read it. It takes the cd in and when it plays makes a small clicking noise every so often but no sound comes out.

Can anyone help?

I have had both of these problems.

Got the clicking problem fixed, it cost me $300 here in australia, new logic board or something.

The broken display just happened to me recently, I could hear something rattling around inside, it turned out that one of the capacitors on the power supply had exploded, and the 26 V rail was broken which supplies power to the display.

I tried replacing the caps, but no joy.

The 27V zener diode registered OV, so I tried replacing it, no joy.

The only thing left is the darling ton transistor, which tested okay, so I am at aloss to know what else to do.

Would be great if I could buy a replacement PSU from American Ausio!
