hey whats up? i got a quick question maybe someone can help me out with. when i turn on my players i see a light on the display for bpm. does anyone know how to turn this on? or is there a way to display the songs bpm?? any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

They used the same Display for the Velocity and PS2, They originally designed the display with the ideal that future models may have that feature, and it is cheaper to design something like that into the display and manufacture a few hundred thousand instead of making ones without the BPM on it, then retooling to make a new one later.

So simple answer no, there is no way to get the BPM function on a PS2 to word. Sorry.
