I see people here again today. i say good morning...what's up...shout out and all we do is look, read ,leave....wtf. Is this what this forum has become. The forum is dieing because we must not have any dj's with personality. Is this how you get the party started whereever you play. You sit there and just push buttons. Let's communicate and learn things again.

What happened...??? Can't be worst than mine ...trying to dj to a crowd after being in Iraq and losing touch with what is hot now. I was stuck playin what was hot a year ago instead of what is hot now. Razzer Cool I'm getting there though...I haven't officially started back so by the time I do I will be there...hopefully Roll Eyes .

ouch...

Well, i just had to deal with the ENTIRE (well, most of them) girls volleyball team at my school, they gave me a CD to play, but they wanted the whole CD, end to end, and one girl in particular was just a huge <edit>!! I had a good number of the songs that were on that CD, and i told them that, and this girls just went "No, i bet you don't." I have never wanted to reach accross a table and slam someones face down on it more that it did at that dance.... and i blew out the mixer we were using (litterally blew out, the fuse inside was pulverised).

other than that, everything's been great. how bout you guys? Smiler

Wow I almost felt the disappointment from their attitudes they gave you. Yea that ain't cool at all how they treated you.I also have the feeling they made you feel like they were above you or better than you in some way. It is all good. Vent some and move on to your next gig. That one is definitely in the past and today is a new day and week to come. Cool

I would have went with my standard, "Sorry, I can only play clean edits of songs. I don't have time to listen to your entire CD to check for curses & song quality."
Then call over a teacher/chaperone/administrator to deal with it. I always make sure before the dance starts that the school officials know my music policy, and that they have my back when dealing with unruley students.

But like the 'sharc said, it's in the past. Move on, and be prepared for the next gig. Smiler

Yeah, thanks fellah, i've moved on, and now i'm looking forward to my next gig, which is less me DJing and more me mixing live sound and partying at my friends "Burning Tree" party.

Think Burning Man, but an old tree on a lake. Minus all the naked wasted people. Big Grin
