So yea i was in a LA club the other night and the DJ played Rihannas SOS remix maybe 10 times.. it was really annoying.. i mean its a good song..or at least it was... but now its completly overplayed and nobody wants to listen to it anymore.. So i was wondering if any DJ out there were spinning any other of her songs i mean the only 2 ive heard are Unfaitful remixes and SOS remixes... I was at my Universal Internship and i heard a song with her and Sean Paul.. that would actually be a good song for the clubs... but yea tell me what you guys listen to.. other than the top 40... okay?

I still play her song "Pon De Replay" I think that is the title. I can't see playing a song more than twice in a night at the club. With so much music to choose from. That is just someone using a song to keep people on the dance floor because he/she doesn't either have a good selection or can't read the crowd well. I play hip hop, r&b, latin, as well as reggea and reggeaton. There is so much music to get the ladies going. Once the ladies get dancing fellas really don't care what it is just keep the girls happy and shaking.

i am sick of songs being over player. The radio stations are the worst for it her in australia, they are one of the main reasons for people getting sick of songs so quickly, that dj must have no idea about working in a club and that can be one of the worst things you can do by playing a song that many times. lol, you should have gone up there and told him where to stick that song

Yeah we had that problem back when the Macerana first came out. Four requests in the same night and we had to play it since it was the owner's bimbo, er wife, asking for it. At the end of the last time, we pulled the cd out of the player and snapped it in half in front of her. She didn't know we played all our music from the computer and just had a cd in the machine to make it look good.
