I gottta question for all of you out there. Ive got a sweet 16 party this weekend. I mostly do a lot of middle school dances and Mitzvahs (whch is mostly made up of middle schoolers) so I don;t reallly kno what main kinds of music to play for high sschoolers. Whats the comparision music wise MS to HS. I kno your probably thinkin "what kinda DJ is he" but Im in high schoool and I personally like almost all music out there...but Im sure most other high school students are a little more picky. For those of you who are a little more familiar with the "older" crowd do you have a list, that are big hits with the HSers. This way I can see howit compares to the MSers. ALso, do you think its wrong to ask my client to make a list of the stuff she wants to hear so I make sure I have it for the night? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
-AMP

I think you should definetly ask the client what her favorite songs are! It is her party, after all.
You'll also want to check out MTV (TRL, etc) for the hot songs of the moment. Also, if your local radio stations have web sites, they usually post their most requested songs. And, since you're still in HS, ask around, see what songs your fellow students think are 'cool'. Smiler

Yeah...I..uhhh...was gonna type out those songs, but..uh..my keyboard broke...yeah, that's it. Big Grin

Stevie, have you gotten a good response to "Pass That Dutch"? I think it's a killer song, great bass, and I love the De La Soul reference.
