I recently purchased The Velocity and am now interested in purchasing a cd-rw recorder. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a stand alone unit, or PC based?

Stand alone i saw several on-line that appear to be what i am looking for (rack mounts) and well there is one that isn't rack mountable and it seemed to be an inconvinience. So rack mountable is what i need.

I have a first generation Philips and it is great, after that and looking at rack mount units I recommend Tascam and Marantz recorders.

Tascam was the one I was looking into and it seemed to be ideal another friend owns one and he is quit fond of it and I like it too but it's a long box and I'd rather have it on my rack for easier access. So are you suggesting Tascam rack mount or the other one you mentioned. Are they rack mountable?
To get to the point I have had several guests ask for copies of my current mix and well I just thought it would be something to do for fun.

Yeah, Tascam makes some really CRAZY rackmound CD writers. We have a Marantz deck sitting in the AV room at school, but someone picked it up with a disc in the drive while it was off... needless to say, the door won't close. i would give you feedback on that, but hey...

also, the Sony rackmound CD writing stuff is also really good. I use one at school and 2 with the guy i work for.

Jose, don't worry about the topics.

Sometimes old topics come back, so don't worry about deleting it or closing it, as there could be some important info there or some that has yet to come...

I'm sure you understand what i mean.
