I am very sad to deliver the devastating news of the loss of a co-worker and friend. Joey Corral has died this past weekend in a tragic motorcycle accident. All of us at the American DJ and related companies are still in shock.

As soon as we have any further details as to the funeral arrangements, needs of the wonderful family left without a father, or any other news a communication will be sent.

Sadly,

Scott M. Davies

General Manager / American DJ Group Of Companies

Joey became a good long distant friend to me over the last few years. He was one of the nicest and most sincere guys I have ever met in the industry. He is one of the biggest reason I have been a big cheerleader for the ADJ/AA product lines over the last few years, and when Scott sent me this email, I could not believe it. I am still in shock, and sad at the loss of a man I called my friend. I am sending my best wishes and love to his family in this time of tragedy. I will miss you old friend.

I would like to start a collection on behalf of our forum members to make a donation to Joey's family or charity of their choosing in Joey's name. If anyone is interested in donating any money. Please contact me via PM's on the forum.

Also for those that knew him personally, or only knew hime through the forums it would be nice if you want to share any memories for Joey, and thoughts or prayers for him and his family.

Well here I am.. Hoping that I would be here to stop by and say hello, but unfortuntely I am here for another reason.

Joey was an amazing human being. I've worked with him for so many years now that it's still to difficult for me to think about him not being with us anymore.

Joey emailed me just a few weeks ago to congratulate me on my article on Mobile Beat Magazine, and I haven't even gotten the chance to reply back to thank him.

So.... Joey I just wanted to say Thank You. Thank you for being such an amazing person. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for being one of the many people at ADJ for caring about me. Thank you for being there for me to talk to. Thank you for giving me the advice you've giving me in the past. Thank you for always helping me out in the time of need. Thank you for being such a caring, loving human being. Thank you for offering me help when you saw me in trouble. Thank you for giving me wonderful memories of you being the amazing person you were. I will miss you more then you can imagine, and I will NEVER forget you. You will be in my heart and memories forever. At least nobody on earth or in the universe can take that away. MISS YOU.

RIP JOEY CORRAL

Joey was THE MAN to go to with the technical stuff, he sent me out some fuses for my amp a while back. I never got the chance to meet him, but I knew from dealing with him online that he was a great guy, the kind of person we need more of in this world. He will be very greatly missed.

Thats just a horrible tragedy and devastating news. My thoughts, prayers wishes, condolences, heart and everything go out to him and his family. What a terrible, just awful thing to happen. If there is anything that I can do to help in anyway please Stevie or anyone let me know. Since Im in SD and ADJ is based outta LA if we wanted to organize some kind of I dunno charity concert/dj event something along those lines to help raise money I would do anythign I can in a heartbeat to help.

I did speak with joey only a few times via email when i was first starting out oh so long ago and I remember he was incredibly friendly and just a really nice guy. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person.

This is just an idea. I dont know if he was a fan of a particualr product but maybe adj could come out with some kind of special limited edition of a particular product where all or some of the proceeds could go towards a fund in his memory. For instance if he was a huge fan of the Velocity maybe adj could come out with the "Limited Edition Joey Corral Velocity" I dunno something like that.

Hearing of the Loss of Joey was a hard thing to take. Joey was a great guy and was always willing to show you something you did not understand. Joey went above the call of duty. I knew Joey personally and he was a great guy that we all would be proud of without a doubt. Joey will be greatly missed by me as well as his long time friends in the American DJ group of companies. If you never got to know Joey he was a great guy and will be greatly missed. Joey may you rest in peace and keep an eye over all the DJ's and lighting guys out there.
