Some woman recently asked for my help finding good work-out discs for the small fitness centre she's opening up this month. She said she wanted something that started off at about 120 bpm and increase to 160 bpm then down to 80 bpm. Are there any discs out there, or somewhere you can order these from? If so, what are some of the best ones for what she needs. I'm not into the fitness centre scene myself but I promised to help her out if I could.

I have made mix tapes/CD's myself for Aerobics instructors. If she want's specific BPM ranges, she will prbably not find what she is looking for on a pressed CD. Why don't you offer your services, and make up a CD for her? If you need a hand let me know.

Actually that was one option she talked about, however I don't know if I have the time to spend customizing a set of discs for her like that. What stuff did you use? Any advice for making one of these up? She said to make one disc up for her to try out. Could you maybe give me a list of stuff you got on yours? Just something to get her started with ya know. It opens up on the 12th of this month so she needs something fast.

Dogg. If you look under the "record crate" area on the forum. I have some mixes posted. The club mix goes from 120-144. If you need to go up to 160 there are some real high energy tracks, and ones that are kind of in between like Hey Ya-Outkast which is either 80 or 160 depending on how you want to count it. But you can take your mix up to something like Hey Ya, and mix it with a 80BPM track to slow it down.

If you're going to make your own mixes Dogg, just connect the output of your mixer to your computer. Then fire up a program like Sound Forge (or similar) to record it all.
I'd have to agree with Stevie, I doubt you'd find something like that out there. If you need a hand, we're here. Smiler

Thanks. I do all my burning on a stand alone burner btw. I find it more convenient than using the computer burner. Discs are more expensive, however the convenience factor is well worth it and I find I get better quality. She found a place that does have music for what she wants so it's gonna save me from having to do it. I don't really have the time to be doing that right now for her anyhow, not to mention the legality of it either. I only burn discs for myself. I talked her into buying ADJ equipment for the spa though since she was asking what to get for the place, and I sent her to the dealer that I use. He loves me when I send business his way. You should see all the freebe stuff he gives me at times. Say's I'm his #1 customer. Christmas he gave me 4 bottles of Glenfiddich single malt scotch, a box of turtles for the wife, 2 used ADJ SPARKLE lights (slightly banged up from being rented out, but still working great.), 3 ADJ lighting video's, and some colour gells which I needed, not to mention 2 slices of his pizza which he ordered for himself at lunchtime. I've been trying to get him to set up a demo room for his lighting as he only has stuff set up on selves and has to plug each one in individually when someone wants to see it. I think he's gonna do it. He'd sell more lights if he did I think. When someone goes in to see a specific light, they'll see two of them in action as opposed to only one and then buy the two of them. I always buy in multiples of 2 or more, it's the balancing effect ya know. They when you got em interested in a certain light, thats when you through on a couple other different ones that compliment the one hes checking out, thus having him buy more than what he came in for. Lord knows everytime I go in there to pick up my new radio traxx discs, I always end up buying some other lighting product. It's getting to the point now where I don't even take all the lights I own to every gig. I sort of pick and choose just so as to mix it up from time to time, especially since I do a lot of gigs at the same places with the same people. This way my show always has a different look to it.
Boy I guess I got off track with the topic here eh, oh well.
