I'm trying to use a program called cubase sx with my dmx operator pro. My ultimate goal here is to take an audio file and generate specific midi note numbers at different positions along the audio track in order to fire off certain programs in my lighting console. However, I can't seem to figure out how to get the software (cubase) to generate midi note numbers. Does any one have any experience with this program or know how to do so ... Thanks for your time it is greatly appreciated.

Note numbers are simply notes.
The MIDI protocol is simply numbers, from 0 to 127. Every MIDI parameter is from 0 to 127, and that applies to MIDI notes. (0=C -1 and 127=G 9) I've also found a chart here for you. Let us know how you fair. |

Mike,
One of our sales guys here uses that same Cubase program and knows it very well. Give him a call @ (800) 322-6337 ext-106. His name is Isaac and he said he'd rather talk you through it over the phone as opposed to going back and forth with e-mail or posts. |
