Has anyone heard from Chris? I have not noticed a "post" from him in a number of weeks. At that time he mentioned he was having some back pains. He is passionate about his craft and has always been a good source of information. I hope he is doing better.

Max, Im speaking with Chris now on yahoo instant messenger, he gave me this quote to tell you all.

"I've been busy doing shows and using my ADJ lights. I'll be back when I'm caught up with the video editing and making new scenes with MyDMX"

He is doing good. So there you have it.
Sincerely,

Lol, he needs to turn into me and post either early in the morning when I wake up, late at night when I get home, or from the phone/laptop when I am bored with whatever the CEO is rambling on about.

But on the serous side now, good to here he is keeping bust and doing well, thanks jingles.

Status update:

I'm not entirely caught up, but I'm in a managable position now. Whew. so good to get some perssure off me!

Back pain status: It has taken on a physical manifestation. It is my wife!

Just kidding.

Not really....

Any, real status: I'm taking it easy and making the help do more help. I hate taking a lower amount of involvement moving gear, but it is necessary. I've have some few relapses, but nothing where I could not move. I know I am doing much better because after my show on June 6th, my crew of volunteers ditched me. Thank goodness I didn't use the big console. I had to load 4 18" subs, 2 double 15" subs, 4 tops, 4 power plants, racks and smaller speakers all on my own. Despite the grunting and groaning, my amount of soreness was amazingly minimal the next day.

Tips:
First, learn to lift right. Seriously. That was a big part of my problem. But my problem stems back to a back injury I got when I was 12 at a soccer camp.

Second: Use support when you can. Of course, learning to lift right is more important, but sing a support can help.

Third: In my case, if I can find something that can help me lift, I'm trying to find those. I don't know if any of you watch that Pitchmen show on Discovery, but that dude who "invented" taht lifting support system? Man, I could use me one of those!!! And yes, I'd pay $60 for it.

Fourth: Think lazy. I don't mean this in a bad way. I mean, do your work to find out how you can make things easlier and then put it in place. In my case, bins, putting as much on wheels as possible, not letting individuals lift things on their own.

I'm glad to be drug free. I'm not pain free, but I've got chronic problems from the middle back down to my ankles anyways. Pain won't stop me.

I've also had some serious truck issues. The same day I got the massive back injury, my steering just about went out on me. I was extremely lucky. The steering FAILED completely in the parking lot of the repair place while they were trying to move the truck. Do't even get me started on what I discovered, but I was extremely angry at what I learned happened during a previous repair. I had to replace the two front tires a couple of weeks ago, the tread was just falling apart. I had to have the fuel/water sepparator replaced on the truck. I also have to have some front end work done and the rear lighting replaced.

I'm still looking to grow my business and am taking on 4 crew that I am training. I'm trying to organize a training day to get a lot of stuff banged out. I'm doing more video these days as well.
