hey guys when trying to create a certain sounding voice such as a deep scary voice what type of effects are normally applied to achieve this...for example slowing the speed down, lowering pitch etc? Any ideas ? Thanks

The QFX, as well as some other mixers offer a pitch shiffting effect to achieve what you are looking for, you may also find some effects boxes that can accomplish the same thing.

pitch down 40%-80% if you have a pitchable cd player, or theres plenty of software available to do this.

You may even want to try a "reverse echo" effect. Kind of sounds like whatever you are saying is being played backwards, and slightly before, the actual vocals. At a lower volume, of course.
I forget the exact name of the effect (if there is one). |
