Bedroom DJ |
Hello fellow dj's, Do you guys know how to make a track on your mixes, Because i have a cd deck that has an audio cd burner, whenever im making my mix its only one track is showing. Is there any way how to put tracks on them?
thank you in advance! |

you could import the audio to a computer, use SoundForge or another 2-track audio editor (tons for free @ download.com), then split each song into it's own file, trying not to lose any audio between songs.
Then, just brun it to CD, making sure any crossfade or mixing options in your CD software are off. That is, do not select "Fade in-Fade out" or anything like that while it's burning, or else you will lose audio. |

neryow,
Also most recorders have a button either on the unit, or the remote, to allow you manually insert track #'s during your mix. |

During the mix? That would make life so much easier. I'm used to using the recorders that require you to pause, but maybe i just skipped over that part of the manual.
djneryow, if you have the option to do this, go for it, it's a lot simpler than what i put down. |

Soundforge will do the trick. Once you've recorded your one mixed WAV file, open it up with SF then highlight or section your WAV, then cut'n'paste into individual WAV files. Make sure there is no dead space or silence at the end/beginning of each individual WAV file.
When you burn your CD, use the Track-at-once option and leave zero seconds gap between tracks. That way when you do playback the transition from one track to another will be seamless. Hope this helps. ROQ out. |
