alright I've been having a hard time with my weddings and it is time I straightened up... I think my problem is my music ... I do not know enough wedding music yet... there is a whole story behind this but I am not going to sit here and type it all right now..lol... so is there anybody that could post an entire listing of all wedding songs? like the songs you would play at a wedding that get the floor packed? Please somebody help..even if you just write out every song you play at your gig this saturday...that would help me a ton..thanks

Corbett with a wedding crowd you need to consider the situation and age range of your audience. You've basically gotta mix it up to cater for all ages and not just stick to one genre. Bascially you wanna keep to the Retro/Party styles and number 1's all the way i.e. the best of the best. Examples;

Michael Jackson
Maddonna
B52s
Bee Gees
Abba
Beatles
The Nut Bush
The Bus Stop
The Macarena
The Chicken Dance
The Time Warp
The Ketchup Song
Grease Megamix
Let's Get Loud - JLO
Kylie........

BTW These are Australian popular examples, there are tons of other US friendly hits you could use as well. I'm sure some of the US conterparts on this forum can add to the list.

Anyway by the time you've gone through most of those the Wedding should be close to finishing anyways. Good luck man.

ROQ out.

Have you tried the Mobile Beat top 200?????

Mobile Beat Top 200

It is usually pretty spot on year in and year out. And as Roq said, every wedding is different like two weeks ago, I was told no YMCA, twist Electric Slide, ect. Instead they wanted stuff like Rolalita - Bruce Sprinsteen, Come On Eileen - Dexy's, Cecilia - Simon & Garfunkle. And it turned out to be one of the best weddings I have done in a long time. But I would say 1/2 the stuff I played, I would never try at another wedding.
