I know this is way off topic, but there are some pretty cool music in Videogames. My favorite music from videogames are:

Ridge Racer 4 and 5
Rage Racer
Need For Speed 3
Megaman (8-bit NES)
DDR
Final Fantasy

Yeah, that's some cool stuff! Here's my remix page. I'm limited with web space so the mixes aren't cd quality.

Ok, I have Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, Rollcage, Rollcage Stage II, and Wipeout XL and there's some AWESOME techno type trax on 'em! On Rollcage Stage II they've got some kick ass drum n bass tracks, and same with Rollcage. Also, the games of Rollcage I and Rollcage Stage II are like druggie games man! Big Grin Your car is indestructible, double-sided, has about 20 weapons (In Stage II), there's about 60 cars (In Stage II), you can defy gravity, and there's tracks called "scramble" tracks (In Stage II). Basically, they're REALLY freakin' hard! In most of them, the road you're driving on is not much wider than your car and everywhere else around you is just open space with nothing there. But yeah, I LOVE ROLLCAGE!! I'm surprised not a lot of people have heard of it cuz its SUCH A FUN GAME! You have to play it to believe it. I have Rollcage I for the computer, and Rollcage Stage II (which my brother wrecked Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad ) for Playstation. Anywayz, back to topic Big Grin

If you want good game OST's, you gotta import!

Nobuo Uematsu is among the best. He is best known for composing all of the soundtracks for the Final Fantasy games. FF7 is the fan favorite, but FFX's OST has the most diversity (mainly cause he had help from Junya Nakano & Masashi Hamauzu).

Yasunori Mitsuda is even better than him though. He has more beat in his compositions, and a bit of Celtic flare as well to boot!

If you want something with beat, and along the tecno side, get the OST for Devil May Cry. There's a song available as a single in Japan called "Ring the Noise", (which is a vocal theme for DMC _not_ featured in the game). What's cool about that song is that it was written and performed by 'Yukihiro', who is the lead member of the group 'L'Arc-en-Ciel'.

Another techno-y soundtrack is the OST for Zone of the Enders, very god soundtrack.

If you want a soundtrack with A LOT of diversity though, get the OST for Gitaroo Man. You got blues, tecno, reggae, classical rock, hard rock, ballads...and all of them are kick ass tunes.

I've got well over 100 game and anime soundtracks (mostly from titles within the last 5 years), so I like to think I know what I'm talking about Smiler
