Anyone with some good 2 or 3 song mixes???
Here's a couple to start the list off with.
Try these.
1. Caribbean Queen- Billy Ocean
Billy Jean - Michael Jackson these two go together really nice. Very similar bass lines.

2. U Can't Touch this - M.C. Hammer
Superfreak - Rick James These two are actually the same song but with different lyrics. M.C. Hammer took Rick James' song and put his own lyrics to it. You can do some interesting cross mixing with these two.

Under Pressure - Queen
Vanilla Ice - Ice, Ice Baby

Again, another sampled song, but these go together even better than the MC Hammer one. If done properly it can sound really cool. Big Grin

Ok try these.....(retros but cool mixes anyways)

Billy Jean - Michael Jackson into Stayin Alive - Bee Gees.

Push It - Salt'n'Pepa into Wild Thing - Tone Loc.

Grease Megamix (at the clapping part) into What I Like About You - The Romantics.

Mickey - Toni Basil into My Sharona - The Knack into Don't Stop Till You Get Enough - Michael Jackson (drop this in at the "whoooah" part).

Holiday - Madonna into Lets Hear It For The Boy - Denise Williams. (works both ways)

I just thought of this one so I haven't tried it yet; Underneath The Radar - Underworld into Knock On Wood - Amii Stewart.

When I think of more I'll let you know. Cheers.

What I Like About You - The Romantics into Walking On Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves (cut/drop seems to work better)

You Should Be - Blockster into Mama Mia - Abba Teens (Abba Teens version not the real Abba)

Played A Live - Safri Duo into Silence - Delerium (yes theres an over dub mix already out there but try it yourself)

Cant Get You Outta My Head - Kylie into Blue Monday - New Order(yes theres an over dub mix already out there but try it yourself)

Lady - Modjo into Music Sounds Better - Starlight

Groove Is In The Heart - Dee-Lite into Bust-A-Move - Young MC (works better with both extended versions)

Yeah, that's it, now keep em coming. I'll post a few more of mine in the next day or two.

Here's one more off the top of my head.
Tutti Frutti by LITTLE RICHARD into Tequila by THE CHAMPS. Just start the second one at the very moment the first one ends. You could then go into Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash, Yes that's right Johnny Cash, probably one of the only songs by him I really like. These 3 are meant to be played together.

Actually now I think of it the song Ring Of Fire might be by ROGER MILLER. Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, who cares, same thing. Still a good song though. We always used to play that song when we were camping and had consummed a lot of food with our favourite XXX Habinero sauce.

Some really good mixes guys!!

Here's two I like doing:

'Without Me' into 'Hot in Herre' - I'll scratch the beginning of 'Hot' at the very end of 'Without Me' (in time to the music, of course). It gives a good scratch sound.

'Summer Wind'-Sinatra (whole song) into 'Can't Help Falling in Love'-Elvis (~75% of the song) into 'A Little Less Conversation' (JXL). I use this at the end of dinner to start bringing the party back up.

One more I was playing with was Blue Monday by New Order and Orgy. Sort of bouncing back and forth between both versions.

Definately be checking that one out bro. I just played "Hair of the Dogg" last night at a banquet gig. The guy wanted some GN'R, but I usually don't carry that with me, so I put on the Nazareth song which he seemed to like just as much. That's the second gig in a row in which somebody asked for GN'r, so I guess I'll be taking it with me from now on. The song he wanted was "Patience"

That one sounds like a good mix. Probably try using that one myself for a change. Always looking for some way to get out of the dinner stuff. Last night I got a request during dinner for the "Bird Dance" So I got on the mic and said this next tune will definately get the party rocking now. Should have seen the faces when the opening notes of that one started. Got quite a laugh. It was recepted well though with everyone dancing to it. Then I went into "Freak Out" by CHIC. That really got em going.

second reply for the day. give a first timer chance, ok? don't you guys play samples or i'm in a wrong topic? anyway, here's what i've been doing. one rnb song is playing then i'd shave the intro of ***y lady by shaggy to that part where he says "***y" then loop. so it'll sound like. 1,2,3,***y,1,2,3,***y and so on. i,d kill the bass of ***y lady and mix that with the current song. when the current song is in the last chorus, i'd slowly bring up the shaggy bass and bring the the bass of the current song down. when the last song ends i'd loop shaggy out. i have more but maybe i'm in the wrong topic. and i don't want to bore you or think of exhalting myself in this part of bytedom coz for all i know you might be been doing that too for ages. anyway, let me know if you enjoy that trick and want to hear more..........poprepublic

No your not in the wrong topic. This is just a post to get some of peoples favourite mixes, could be any type of mixing. I don't do much sampling, but always willing to learn different technics.
Anyhow I just came up with another mix I really liked. "Sleepless" by WAVE, which is a nice slow dance, then go into "Somewhere I Belong" by LINKIN PARK, real kick a$$ tune. There is a nice transition between these two. Cool Roll Eyes
