good slow songs for a college crowd

Joe - i wanna know
amanda perez - Angel
Usher - Nice and slow
Kc & Jo Jo- Crazy
Leane Womack - I hope you dance

if you need more let me know

For dinner at a college formal, just keep it mellow, some john mayer, DMB, some songs from the bands they liked when they were growing up, undanceable requests etc.

For dinner I would just recommened getting a "light jazz" cd, or two, and playing it softly. Stuff like Kenny G and the such.

crazy chris, this is a college formal, jazz is good for ****tail hours at most parties, but these are college kids, you don't want to put them to sleep at dinner, and def spare them the Kenny G, if your gonna play jazz, use real jazz, ella fitzgerald, louis armstrong etc.

i don't know how i would program the event untill i was there, every crowd is different and you have to see what they respond to best, in the beginning like the first hour, there going to want to mingle, don't throw anything that is to new or hot on cause they won't get up for it. Play some stuff that they haven't heard, stuff from when they were in highschool, announce that your taking requests and see what there requesting. Most college formals that i have done, have been a very mixed crowd seeing that most of the students are from various parts of the country. you'll get requests of all kinds ranging from country - disco - hip hop, mix it up in the beginning see what works then go with it, just do what you norm do, don't go in with a set play list.

I've done two formals and from what i've seen it's nothing but 80's and hip hop. When slowing it down for dinner i played John mayer, DMB and Harry Connick JR and Norah Jones. I've also found out that these college girls love the Grease sondtrack so if you don't have that it might be a long night. It saved me.
