Thanks to Stevie Ray for motivating me to do this:

(Rigt-click, choose Save As for best results)
Billabong's quasi-futuristic mix 21MB

Here's the lowdown:
Intro
Something Happened on the Way to Heavan - D. Cox
We Are All Made of *'s - Timo Maas/Moby
Addicted to Bass - Puretone
E - DrunkenMonkey
Take on Me - Fusion 808
James Brown is Dead - LA Style
Sun is Shining - Funkstar Deluxe
Hey Ya! - OutKast
Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry
At The Party - Northen State [Long Island's Own!]

My critique:
I sort of missed my cue at the end of "Take On Me". The transition from "Sun" to "Hey Ya" would have been better, if I had it "Play" the last time instead of "Cue". I also did some scratching at the end of "At The Party". Smiler If you like old school lyrical, funky-message-on-the-correct-tip style rap, that's not littered with four-letter words you can't even understand, check out Northern State.

[update]
Also noticed I fudged up the levels between "Addicted" and "E". Oops. Well, that's why they call it practice! Big Grin

Hey, nice work.

only gripe; This seemed to be recorded with a low cut/high pass filter, as these bass was very, very minimal.

other than than, nice.

who did "Intro"?

Thanks!

I used SoundForge to record, then Normalized it, which may have had some undesirable side effect. Then I cut it down to a 96k bit-rate MP3, which doesn't help the bass either. I could send you the uncompressed WAV (321MB), but I think my server would kick the bit-bucket. Smiler

The "Intro" was a line from the movie TRON. It's the Master Control Program (MCP) talking. I have some great samples from that movie. Listen to the very end for a sample from Office Space.
