I'm looking for compilations of different dance artists that are not continuously mixed. I have about 3 right now, and i'm looking into getting more. I know that many artists, like Paul Oakenfold and ATB release their own stuff unmixed, but i want unmixed compilations. Anyone Know where i can find them?

in the stores, i've found that it's hit or miss. alot of cds will say "mixed by _____", but others don't. if there is any way to preview your purchase, that's your best bet. otherwise you could try a subscription service like erg. someone who actually subscribes to one can give you more info.

Most of them are continuously mixed, but there's usually ways to work around it.
Some CDs that I've picked up usually had a kick drum (or some other loud sound) on the start of the track. The beat almost always starts clean at the start of the track. So, even though it's continuosly mixed, played by itself, it sounds ok. Alright, it's hard to describe. If you hear it, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Or, sharpen up those beatmatching skills to move from song to song! Smiler

Yeah. Thing is, i find that when mixing continuous CD's with a non mixed CD, the fading can sound a bit sloppy. It's a bit odd listening to three songs @ once, and i find the overall effect a lot more pleasant with my non mixed CDs. The only major problem is going from a continous track to a nonmixed. Thanx for your help.

Or you could buy a mixed cd, then burn it and put space between the tracks. The only problem with that is the song will just cut off when the track is over.
