I am djing a Hawaiian Luau theme dance.... does anyone know some good songs I could play... for this? I am Stumped. HELP!

Don't forget ****** Denny for the Exotic Jungle sounds, the Blue Hawaiians, and Don Tiki are great contemporary artists that will have the sound you need. Neato Background.

You can find a ton of CD's in the Hawaii section, with that twangy pedal-steel electric guitar sound - just at your local record store. Look for disks with a lot of "standards:
Hawaiian War Chant
Hula Hands
Keep your eyes on her hands
Little Grass Shack
Hawaiian Wedding song.

Beware! there is a lot of Hawaiian folk that is just very mellow guitar - it's beautiful, but not that kitschy, twangy stuff that you probably want, so try before ya buy.

hey yall....well....ur event is probably done already...and i hope all went well....but i thought i'd go ahead and lay down some artists u guys might not of heard of that are very popular in the island scene....just incase anyone else has another luau or any "islander" party/gig and need island songs......
