The song is "Long Way Home" by Masters of Balance. it's a 5 minute run of upbeat, adreneline trance. you'll find youself listening to it over and over again. It can be found on "Trance Sessions" from Shadow Records. a great cd to get.

i wasn't keen on iio's first hit "rapture", but i think they've made a decent tune in "smooth." more specifically, i'm taking about the airbase remix here. the vocal could be better but it compliments an inconsistent bass line and offsets a screaming synth toward the end of the song. either way, i find myself turning up the volume a little more when it drops.

for you techhouse fans, definitely don't miss the plastic head band's ep2 off odori. "this way up" has some wicked break lines and some deranged keys seperated by a synthy teaser. excellent.

on a bit of the funky tip, check out jacob london's casual bingo ep off of classic. "regular absorbency" clearly has an akufen influence and offsets a nice house beat with some quirky sounds that fall remarkably into place. a terrific building groove. shoot, while you're listening to that, check out akufen's "jeep s_e_x" for a similarly good time.

_good topic rhue. nothin better than takin tunes. Cool

UnderWorld - Two months Off

This song has been out for some time and without a doubt a great Dance track. The track is quite upbeat and has a nice progression to it. A few mixes mellow it down and build it up again, but i prefer the original track. Once again a good song for clubs, raves and teenage parties too.

I just got a few choice records. Look around for them they are worth while.

Kraftwerk - Tour de France 2003. Not a remix, but a sweet remake.
Elton John - Rocket Man 03 (KDME Remix). Smooth hit house version.
Aphrohead - Journey Thru Thee Park / Bryab Zentz - Gutter Trax. Awesome old school acid track on one side, and deep TechHouse track on the other side. It's on the "Back2Back series" on a limited edition colored vinyl. It may be hard to find, but it's worth it.
DEFINATLY check out Todd Osborn on the "Throw/Twilite 76" or "Ghostly International" lables. His stuff is amazing deep house.

Just a few of my current favs.

"Trancemissions" mixed live at Club Space by Edgar V is a great continuous Trance album. From the deep and driving "Relieve My Pain" from DJ Elb to Red Sector's intense "Invasion Over Berlin", this CD rocks.

Also, for anyone into insane, harcore techno anthems, check out the "Happy 2b Hardcore" series, especially the final one, Ch. 6. Very upbeat and insanly fast, this is a great series.

I just picked up the new Junior Senior CD. It's...different, to say the least. Some tracks are kind of like 50s/60s 'surf' music. Others have sort of a dance feel to them. I thought it would be more dance/house/electronica oriented. I've only given it one quick listen through. I can't see any other tracks breaking on radio, though, other than the 'Move Your Feet' single that was out.
To sum it up, if I lost the CD, I wouldn't replace it.

The Crystal Method's "Comunity Service" is something worth checking out. It's mostly remixes, but there are some original tracks on it. The TCM Remix of Rage Against the Machine's "Renegades of Funk" is on the disk, as well as TCM remixes of POD's "Boom" and Garbage's "Paranoid."

This is a great mixed CD of nonstop electronica. Give it a shot.

If you are into trance and Goa, then ull like
So Lonely - Jakatta

The music uses eastern classical instument called a sitar (its a cross between a harp and guitar) to create some really sweet musik Smiler . Alot of mixes are out there and frankly are more suited to the dancefloor than the original track itself.
The bpm is quite average and mixing it into another song should be a snap cause the song nicely blends in. Try to kill the low and use the other tracks beat with the Sitar solo for a real nice mix.... Smiler
