hey everyone
Iposted a thread a while back and got no response for it, so i thought i might just try once more, I have been ordering alot of cd singles off the internet lately and i have oredered quite a few (most of them are rnb cds) I dj in a club on friday and saturday nights. I would just like to know if i want to start djing in bigger and better night clubs and try to make a name for myself will i need to start finding extended mixes of all these cd singles or can it be just as easy to mix with the original versions?
Do most of the big name rnb djs use extended version of the songs?
thanks for your help in advance

There is difference between an extended mix and a remix. If you are mixing fine with your radio cuts then no worries. If you want to stay ahead of the game then occasionally substitute a remix for an original. However if you mix fine with radio cuts you wouldn't need extended mixes. If I'm using vinyl I use two copies. Instrumental into the main version. If I mix on cd format....just loop the intro and release on the break of the song fading out.
