When your scratching on a TT your going to want the Record to feel like butter. Your not going to want to much resistance from the TT if your holding the record in place. So thats why you need a thin, smooth, slipery slipmat for your TT. This will help you scratch better, help you pratice better, and help you do more of the technical scrathes there is to do.

Off the topic a bit but, have any of you seen some strange looking slipmats? I seen a Pikachu slipmat at a shop once. I wish I bought it!

It would not be wise to modify the ps2 jog wheel in any capacity, remember it is touch sensitive and I don't want to hear anyone saying that "my jog wheel doesn't respond"!
