If you can scratch on vinyl, you can adapt to scratching on cd's. . . It's all technique, there is no better or easier. If you don't know how to execute a scratch, it won't sound good period.

Well, most CDs can play with light surface scratches on them, and still sound ok. But, once a record gets a gouge or two...man, it's shot.
The great thing about CDs: you can get one of those 'DiscDRs', and clean them up good as new. So, scratches really aren't a problem with CDs.

But, why would you want to scratch your music in the first place? Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

CD vs Vinyl. This is like asking what is better, Xbox or PS2.... Cool

If you mean to say vinyls are better y do u think adj and other top companies spend soo much time and effort makin stuff like PS2, Velocity. Simply cos it is the future.
Vinyls are always in and real but advancements are made cos thing keep getting better while time passes by ... like 5 yrs ago if u ad to carry a mobile you would literally ave to carry it in a roadcase which ad a telephone and a tiny satellite and a big huge car battery or car battery connectors but now we carry mobiles on the tip of our finger (a little more exaggeration, cant help it luv makin phun of stuff)

Cheers

No i'm not saying that, What i'm saying is that turntablism is an art no matter what source you are scratching on, it really is nothing more than personal prefrence. But if you learn to do the tricks and practice on a turntable you will find the transition easier to cd than vice versa. . . but that's just my opinion. And you haven't seen the new TT yet.

Personally i think no cd player yet can emulate the vinyl 100%.

This Cd player fad is a new thing, so alot of ppl are jumping on board. The vinyls have been there for a long time and will be here long after. Smiler

I personally prefer CD's becaause you can do other effects blended in. you also don't have to worry about eating away at the CD's. but.... CD players can't 100% emulate Vinyl. Wink
