I need help. I just purchased a psx system ( two psx and a qd3 mixer for 600 bucks) I have been into breakbeats and house and techno and hip hop for years and years now and want to dj. Only thing is I want to mainly mix hip hop and some breakbeats. I can easily "mix" one house song into a nother but I'm having the hardest time judging the beat count for breakbeats and hip hop and finding something that matches of a cool time to come in. anywebsites? videos, or anything you guys can do to help will be greatly appreciated. Are you trying to match phrases? When you match phrases you have to count the bars, your trying to match up the phrases, not the beats. Usually 4 beats make up a bar, and 4 bars make up a phrase. You have to know what time signature it is in also. If you need more info, replay back...
