Hi all,

I was wondering how the gear gets switched when one dj finishes his set and next comes on. Do all the DJ use the same mixer and just switch turn tables?

thanks,

Tim

My guess is they use their own setup which is already setup. I have no idea.

Usually they use the same equipment that the other dj was using, and mix off of his/her set, and the next dj will continue doing the same.

Usually you do use the same equiptment.
i remember when de first day i ad to do that now i got so confused cos i am soo used to de QD5. The mixed i had to use was a 4 channel and had to control 3 decks n lights n stuff. Bacially de setup was highly confusing made a lot of mistakes but got through it somehow. (people thought my mistakes were effects Big Grin Big Grin )

depends on the dj and venue. if you're talking about the superstar djs, most of them have their own setups they take with them, including a staff to set it up.
if you're talking about any old club, most don't have the room for multiple setups so it's usually done on the same set of tables and mixer.
one exception is a dj with cd players. if the club doesn't already have them installed, i've seen djs bring their own to set up.
