rookie here had done some half-ass searching but couldn't find what i was looking for. when a song is playing on table 1, is the scratching done on table two or on table one? could someone enlighten me please.

Usually you will play you back beats on one table and do your scratching on the other, but you can definitely scratch on anyone you want to.

thanks for replying john.

everytime i go to scratch on the c.d that is currently playing the music cuts off briefly and doesn't seem to gel with the beat/tempo. another ?, is the scratching c.d cued/paused just before a sound with good scrating effects?

or you can set up a couple of dj's and have one play beats and switch it up on you while you scratch over it. . . but if you don't have another cooperative dj just toss a break beat on one deck and a scratch sample on the other one.
