alright everyone, I know it's fairly new, but have you found any cool scratching tricks that you would share?

these are a phew I figured out

move the platter back and fourth using the rubber that goes around the outside, make sure tempo lock is not on. This makes a sweet effect, almost like the song is on drugs. I think this is hydroplaning? Confused Anyway, the furhter you spin back and forward, the more profound the effect is.

again, using the rubber, lightly touch the plater on the outside so that when you try to spin it, it will be more stiff. now, "scratch" (and I mean literarily, so that your finger comes on and off the platter) forward, (or backwards on the right side of the platter) Depending how much pressure you use holding the outside is how fast the music will go, this makes a neat scratch-play effect

Well, share your own tricks Big Grin

Actually the second thing you mentione is the hydroplane effect, the first effect is from her on out known now and forever as "unknown neat-o effect". Razzer

not really... There's one club, and I think it might have closed :\ And jobs for the mobile DJs are not a lot...

Other than that, it's a little better, it's growing, but it's BORING... that's pretty much it here in the east side of Iowa...

NEW TRICK!!!

well, I was messing around some more, and I started to mess around with the stop and go of the touch wheel.

Set the parameters on skid or scratch to whatever they are so that it stops at the touch of your hand (no slow down). Now, rythmicly tap the wheel extremely fast and extremely lightly. It makes a nice "strobe on music" effect. The trick though is that your fingers have to barely touch the wheel because if you push too hard, it won't give it enough time to start again before you tap it with the other finger. I found that it's best to tap the wheel at 2-4 times the BPM of the original song. And always keep the rythim!
