I am new to the DJ scene. I have been listening to techno/trance for about 3 years now. Now, I want to the be the dude that everyone is dancing too at a club. I need equipment...
What are the differences between tables and CDs? Which do you prefer and why... Thanks ALOT! "Computer games don't affect kids. I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." -Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989 |

If you got the dough, Do both. If not, try out both formats and stick with the one you are most comfortable with.
American Audio has some really great gear at affordable prices. Pro Scratch 2 is the top cd table. Power Drive 2.2 is their top Vinyl table. It's all about preference. DJing comes in all formats (CD/Vinyl/PC/8-Track/etc). The format you are comfortable with is the answer. I think this topic has been covered. Search around the forums and you'll find all the info you need. Good Luck! -LKJ |

I think that for me I just like the good ole vinyl and turntables cause that is what I have idolized. But CDs have come a long way. Really there isn't a difference when it comes right down to spinning. But I think that there is alot more room to grow in the future if you are experienced with both...that's just my opinion though. If you'll look through the forum there are videos of Skilz mixing it up on some PS2s. Anyway...
