I want to know what are the pros, and cons about a straight arm TT and a curved arm... For normal mixing, and scratching...

it's all personal prefrence, supposedly the straight tonearm is supposed to help prevent skipping ,but the new hdt4.5 as well as the powerdrive 2.2 use curved tone arm's and I've never seen any issues with skipping, and skilz doesn't go easy on them either.

supposedly, s-arms allow the needle to track properly in the vinyl, giving you a cleaner sound whereas a straight arm will eat away your vinyl a little faster. i've never noticed any difference.
but under heavy scratching, a s-arm will tend to jump and skip more than a straight arm. there are some really nice straight arm rigs out there and even a straight arm accessory for a technics.
if your just into mixing, get an s-arm, if you're a hardcore turntablist, i would look into a straight arm.
