What I usually do....is think about the song I'm going to mix in, and see if it sounds right. If it starts to go off beat just a little try using the pitch option (if you have one) to tweak the sound just a little. It takes some time, but after awhile you will get it. If you still are having trouble, try purchasing one of instructional DVD's the internet sales!!! they work pretty good too!! GOOD LUCK!

X,
Hypnotiq is dead on. Now that I got the new gear in the studio, I am going to try to be a little more proactive and post some vids, hopefully you can pick something up from them.

Also it never hurts to go back to the basics. Try mixing two copys of a tune and practice over and over keeping them in sync. Cue the song on different parts of the drum pattern. That will make you count and get the rhythm of what your playing. Sync the song on the down beat and practice bring in the second copy on the hi hat or down beat or what ever. Practice man....practice. Took me a year to feel confident enough to mix anything on the fly and keep it on tempo.....practice homeboy. Cool
