Im bout to ge ta 350 dollar dj pack and im really excited. Is there any web sites you can go and learn the basic sratches or simple techniques. I really want to learn all around things about it. welcome to the board. Sorry i had to move this topic into the right section of this forum you had this posted in General DJ Talk, and this seems better in the Turntablism section. Anyways i need to know a few things like does scratching on a vinly record riun the record at all?
The answer is NO... Depending what kind of needle you buy for your record will give you the best sound quality, and the longest life out of your record. But after many years of scratching on the same sample you might expierance the sample fading away. My personal favorite needle to scratch with are the Banana needles made by Ortofon.
