I have a couple of videos with me scratching and doing tricks on my PS2's. How can I submit the videos to be seen without having my own website. Also why not have a new catagory with just videos submited by d.j.'s. You could even have a online contest for the best video.

You would need a site to host the video's first off, on the forum they would take up a lot of space, I should probably let sean handle this one when he see's it, he's more technologically advanced in this department and can probably give you a better answer. But you can always send the video to the office.

firstly what format are these video's in hi8? vhs? beta? d8? mpeg?

you're firstly going to have get the video onto your computer if it isnt already there. if your camera has a digital output then it could be as simple as plugging in the firwire cable and hitting record in the provided software.

if its on conventional analogue tape you're going to have to capture it somehow. this usually means getting a video capture card. these come quite cheap these days and are often bundled with editting software, so go down to your computer store and see what bundles they have.

once you have it captured you're going to have to encode it. you can use straight up mpeg, or divx, or avi, or real. real is probably the best, as it gives great compression and is a very common format. divx performs the best, but the problem with that is not everyone has the codec.

unfortunately you will have to find some webspace to host it in.

video is high bandwidth so i wouldnt be surprised if AA was reluctant to host videos from everyone.

the best option is to just buy some webspace, you can get decent stuff for $10usd per month.........

First it must be cleared by my own personal self .If you can get a copy to me I would love to see it. It would be great for you guys to be able to post this kind of stuff, BUT, like Sean says it is not that easy, YET!!!
