I just bought a Proscratch2 yesterday and it takes forever it to find a track. Sometimes it doesnt at all. All I hear is the cd spinning in the drive. It doesn't matter which CD I put in, it does it for every one of them. My other PS2 works just fine. Should I take it back or is there some kind of sensitivity adjustment that I can make?

Welcome to the board!
ProScratch 2's (PS2's as we normally call them here), and CD-Rs have been discussed a few times. Try searching for "CD-R" or "burn" using the search feature. In the mean time, a quick summary: Use high-quality media. I've been happy with Maxell, TDK, S0ny. Something with a blue burn side. Burn as SLOW as possible. 1X, 2X if you have too. Just to be safe, you may want to call American Audio Support. |

Was this a brand new unit you purchased or a used unit?

I bet it's the cd-r's being used to burn the music on. I thought I was doing good buying the biggest stack of cd-r's for $10 and I only used maybe 10 out of 30 of the stack. THe PS2's just wouldn't read the media and if it did it skipped around the song like a scratched 12". I use maxell and they play just fine and the sound quality is ten times better. I started using the colored maxell cd-r's too and they work just as good.
