Well PowerDrive is just the name of the Turntable, The ADJ powerdrive 2.2 is identical to the tech table.!! Try one and see for yourself, it's just as responsive and just as durable! If you meant what's the difference between belt drive and direct drive- Direct drive uses a motor to contorl the speed and torque while belt driven turnttables rely on a belt which may lead to slower start ups as well as many other problems. Belt drives are good for beginners, but if you want to start off with direct drives I highly recommend the ADJ PowerDrive 2.2. Cartridges depend on what style of mixing you will be doing!
I personally like the Banana Needles. ( No not the fruit ) . There made by Ortopone, and are distruibuted by American Audio.
About the TT's, it's really all about your preference. If you want to go around and spend 300 extra Dollars on Technics, or Vestax's then go right ahead. The Power Drive 2.2 is just has good, and duriable. But the Technics are the Industry Standard, and i personally think the Vestax 2000 table is better then the Technics. But if you want the same quality, and duribility then i would go with the Power Drive ! Thats my honest answer.
