Does anyone have any good tricks for the PSX besides the basic push and pull method. I was thinking of something along the line of a stutter affect or a way to pull back to song to repeat a phrase and then continue play? Does this make sense to anyone?

The PSX is more of a mixing untility. The PS2 is more of a machine to do tricks on. But i am not saying you can't pull any tricks on the PSX. Play around with the machine, and i'll bet you'll find something. Smiler

So your saying I should hold out for a month and save then buy the ps2. I have the following

1 psx
1 pro-dj2fx
and I use a turntable as well

I want to replace the pro-dj2fx with either another psx or the ps2

What do you think?

it really all comes down to what you need and what suits your style best, the psx is in no way a bad unit, but scratching wise, it doesn't come close to comparing with the ps2. . . . plain and simple, and it's not that much more expensive either.

Thanks clipup

to be honest with you I would like to run a psx and the ps2 with my turntable...That way I could get some serious scratching done.

Then "you can do it!", do it man, go for it. . . eventually you may want to upgrade to 2 ps2's.

I don't know anything more than plug them in and turn them on. . . . I'm all about music and mixing, and yes I use my ps2's in conjunction with turntables from time to time. Depends on where I am, size of the event, and what songs I don't have on cd yet. But for lighting VERTIGO!!!! All the way!

Ah...1 more question everyone!

Does the PS2 have a 40 holder on the side of it for convenience? If so I have to have 2!

nope you will have to hold your 40 in your free hand or in the crafty beer helmet.
