A while back (can't even remember the thread or it's title), someone asked about if there is a 'turntable language', similar to sheet music.
Well, I found something close. In this new magazine called "Scratch", they have put together a way of putting your scratches on paper.
It is a good magazine, too. They focus on DJing, producing, music, & gear. Check it out if you get a chance.

That basically is the way you write your scratch patterns. Using the TTM method. The Scratch mag is on it's third issue if you've just got a copy. The first had Dre, second had Kanye and so on....It is a good mag. That right there is the only mag I'm a get along with Remix mag. Both are good. Cool

I missed the first one with Dre. I started with #2, the Kanye issue. So far, so good. Hope they keep up the good work. Remix is a good one too.

While an impressive endeavor this sheet music is hard for most DJs to follow if they have not studied music theory formaly in the past or do not have time to work on understanding the notation. I feel scratching and Beat juggling is best learned from peer to peer. Having strong Turntablists around to learn directly from seems to be the only true way to learn at a rapid rate.
That said the Passing knowledge in Turntablism is much like Kung Fu or oral histories in that they are learned from one generation to the next through practice and teaching. In which case innovations and refinements generally come about by the sharing of ideas between masters of the art.
