Sup guys, last week while DJing my usual school, several groups of kids were getting very excited at the dance and started to break dance, next thing I knew that the police and ambulance where there, the kid broke his collar bone while break dancing. Suprisingly the school let them do it. Thank god the dance was almost over, after something like that, i dunno but i loose my excitement and all. Whats your thought? I hope that kid gets well soon.

yeah, i can see how that would kill the mood. i've seen some injuries and fights in a club situation, but there are people paid to clean it up and it's your job to get everyone else back on track and forget the incident. as long as they don't try to blame you for someone's injury because of the music, the guests can do whatever they want (dancing wise). a school is tougher cause everyone knows everyone else and it heightens the sense of concern.

It's common for people to fall down at dances, but it's not the DJ's fault they fell. If anything, it's that persons fault or the fault of another person on the dance floor...or even possibly the dance hall not having a safe dance floor.

Accidents, fights, people falling, etc. do happen. I remember playing a high school dance quite a few years ago and there were two guys that got into a fight right in front of the equipment, then as the fight progressed, somehow someone threw a chair through a window in the cafeteria I was playing in. Not a real comfortable situation, but still, none-the-less, it wasn't my (the DJ's) fault. Nor did I get blamed.

Just thought I'd let you know it was my school's dance and it was one of ym friends who broke there colar bone. They're doing fine now and no one even mentioned it being the dj's fault. It's a rough and tough school anyways. It didn't really kill the mood (at least not for me), plus the dance ended about 10 minutes later.

Zach

p.s. You guys did another good job of keeping the tunes flowing.

Are you going to dj the 8th grade dance in May? I'll be sure to come up to you and say hi. I'll write it on my hand or something. I get distracted easily at dances, dont know something about how some of those girls dance....
