It varies so much by region and type of ad. We get a free basic listing because we have a business line, it will be in the next version here in about a month. But I have heard ad's run up to, now this is here where I live, up to 6 & 7,000 dollars. Best bet would be to call your phone company or the phone book company and ask.

CDJS Joe is right on. An ad in your yellow pages is going to be expensive for a single person operation.

Repetition is the key in yellow pages advertising. You can accomplish more with three or four ads under different headings than you could do with a 1/8 page ad.

My suggestion is to take that $50 - $100 and invest it in a booth at a good trade show or exhibition. Meet your potential clients. You odds are much better - or - join an organization of entertainment professionals. NACE, ISES, MPI, etc.

You can get an add in the yellow pages in my area for around $400/yr. and that is a business card sized add.
