Do Latins have some special Dj skill no one else can get with. I'm what America considers to be black, but when I look at my skin it's brown. I play Cumbias. Morenge. Salsa, or what ever the crowd is feeling. I was wondering why just Latins need apply on this thread.

Egads, my skin is whitish! But I still play Salsa, Cha cha, Merengue, Rumba and Cumbia.

It's a great mix!!

It really is the same as any other style music. But one thing I have noticed is your going to want to turn your highs down a bit on some songs, cut your bass on the song being faded out. You should be alright from there. I found mixing Latin music is like mixing D&B. You have a certain definitive tempo and you just want to find that down beat or high hat to cue in the song. Took me a few months to get it but I got it.
