Well here comes round 2 Smiler got everything set up right, even some lovley bannana plugs. This time it is in a small party house, so maybe my speakers will sound even louder. Got more music, good equipment, and everything. Its not till next friday so I still got a week to try and find me some good headphones. I can't find any affordable headphones that have the huge plug on them(not sure of the proper name)so I have to use an adapter, but it makes it so that only my left speaker on my headphone work, so I am gettin desperate enough to drop 80$ on a pair. Any way thats it Big Grin

The 'huge plug' is a 1/4" phono plug. There are two versions, mono and stereo. A 'mono 1/4" phono plug' will have one band. A 'stereo 1/4" phono plug' will have two bands. The 'small plug' is a 1/8" phono plug.

Most inexpensive headphones come with the 1/8" style, and an adapter to make it 1/4".

Go to RadioShack and get part# 274-876 for the right kind of adapter, if you want to try that route first.

We only use one cup on our headphones anyways.. makes it easier to hear where the other song playing is at and I personaly think it helps to beat match using only one cup.

Yea Jest, sounds like you just have a mono adapter, and you need a stereo adapter. Like Billabong said, the mono adapters have one black ring around them, towards the tip of the adapter, and the stereo has two black rings around them.
Good luck on your gig! Smiler
