I got ahold of a B-5* Matr*x 1000 sub and two 10" speakers, all powered.
I have a mixer and dual CD player so I can get some sound going. I am sorta new to this, so could someone tell me how I could add more speakers to my setup? Maybe a B-5* Matr*x 2000 or another 1000? I know I will need more speakers for larger groups, but I am kind of retarded when it comes to the setup. Thanks. |

if the other speakers you are lokking to buy are powered all you have to do is get the correct leads and link them together, and just run the first speaker to the mixer. say you have six speakers
you would link three up together and run the first one back to the desk, then with the other three link them up and run one back to the desk. hope this easy enough |

That particular system also has a pass through. It is that other set of XLR jacks next to the input XLRs. So, if you have another amp, you can connect it using the pass through and connect your speakers to that.
One of my partners does a two level venue where he does this. The second amp has a smaller power rating than the primary in the sub, but the same power is not neded for the second level. Hope this helps. If it doesn't, drop me an e-mail at goodknightdj@comcast.net and I walk you through the set up. I'd get more detailed here, but the system you are speaking about is one of ADJ's competitors and that really wouldn't be kosher. |
